ian_rassman.jpgWant to lean the intricacies of managing a thriving cannabis business – the easy part is growing the cannabis and selling it to clients. The difficult and trickiest part is how to manage the money that you receive and spend so as to not run afoul of the law. At the Sunday, Feb. 6 at 7:30 p.m. Zoom MAPP meeting, you will have the opportunity to learn about this and so much more from our special guest Ian Rassman. From being the Operations Manager for the International Olympics Committee to currently developing compliant banking and payment solutions for the cannabis industry, Ian Rassmussen has an exemplary vitae.

As the Executive Director of Los Angeles NORML, one of the oldest chapters in the country of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws, Ian is well-versed in the legal conundrums faced by cannabis consumers and businesses. Whether cannabis activist or cannabis entrepreneurial consultant, Ian’s perspective on what is happening in the cannabis world is eye-opening if not eye-popping.

As the featured speaker at the Sunday, Feb. 6 Zoom virtual MAPP meeting, Ian will provide an insider’s insights at to what is happening in the commercial cannabis industry. He will take a specific look at the over-regulated and underdeveloped cannabis industry in Los Angeles which provides insights to what is happening throughout California from the no_weed.jpgsupersaturated cannabis dispensaries in the Coachella Valley’s green triangle of Desert Hot Springs, dispensaryopen_sign_(2).jpgPalm Springs and Cathedral City to the refusal of most cities and counties to allow any development at all.

Ian will also speak about his pet project which is the enacting of the provisions of SB34, the Dennis Peron and Brownie Mary act, which allows cannabis businesses to provide free cannabis or cannabis products to medicinal cannabis patients or their primary caregivers.

After Ian’s presentation there will be ample time to ask the questions and get the answers you will need to know if you have any interest in the cannabis business whether as a perspective entrepreneur, customer or just because the cannabis business is fascinating.
